Microsoft released a new update for Excel (release 2310) that broke many add-ins, inlcuding Analytics Edge. If the Task Pane no longer appears when it should, there is another update for Excel available (Build …20124) — go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now to install the latest release and fix things.
If you have the latest Windows 10 or higher, you might want to try the latest Analytics Edge Add-in – version 11. It features an updated interface for most wizards and should be 100% backward compatible. This release adopts a lot of new technology and is the platform for the future, sharing a lot of code with the new Analytics Edge Desktop Apps. The documentation is being updated, and the product may have frequent udpates at first. Link is on the Download page.
