I strongly believe that computers should do the work for you, not the other way around. Analytics Edge products are designed to simplify the process of downloading and analyzing data, without formulas, coding or engineered prompts.
That philosophy is why I built the Analytics Edge Excel Add-in and connectors. If you are managing a handful of sites, a spreadsheet is the simplest way to automate your workflow. I designed my tools to work from inside the spreadsheet because there is no easier way to do it.
Complexity Creeps In
But the landscape has shifted. While the Excel Add-in has adapted, introducing web requests and AI integration capabilities. But, at the end of the day, it is still based on a spreadsheet. Consolidating years of data from multiple sources is now the baseline expectation. The spreadsheet wasn’t designed for that.
The industry’s reaction has been to push everyone into the cloud, loading your data into third-party servers with climbing monthly fees and privacy headaches.
